Abstract:
Patent of invention of a process for the production of a dielectric fluid, as well as its formulation, obtained from a mixture of vegetable oils of the triglyceride type, where the main component is a basic product obtained from a derivative of castor oil (Ricinus
cummunis L), resulting in a renewable, biodegradable and ecologically correct product, applicable in equipment for electric distribution and transmission, such, as transformers, capacitors or cables for electric transmission lines; this product is different due to the fact that it uses a derivative of castor oil that has a mixture of connected acids which, when mixed with other saturated vegetable oils, considerably alters the formulation of dielectric, which is the main object of this invention, as the mixture has a particular chemical composition, composed of oleic fatty acids, connected fatty acids, besides other saturated ones.
