Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for recovering an alkali metal sulfate, comprising the steps of: forming an organic acid fermentation broth containing an alkali metal salt of an organic acid; and forming and recovering an alkali metal sulfate by adding a sulfuric acid to the organic acid fermentation broth, wherein the alkali metal sulfate has a radioactivity concentration index of 1 or less, and to an alkali metal sulfate having a predetermined X-ray diffraction spectrum (XRD) peak and a radioactivity concentration index of 1 or less.
