Abstract:
A process for synthesis of dimethyl ether by dehydration of methanol is disclosed. The process comprises the following steps: methanol in the material containing methanol produces mixtures of dimethyl ether and water by being dehydrated in the presence of solid acid catalyst, and the obtained mixtures are distillated to separate dimethyl ether, in which said dehydration and distillation are carried out in catalytic distillation column, and said catalytic distillation column includes tower bottom, stripping section, reacting section, rectifying section and reflux condenser in tower top in order of down-to-up. The reactive section is filled with catalytic distillation element comprising solid acid catalyst, or is alternately installed with distillation tray and catalyst bed.
