Abstract:
A process for treating waste water, which comprises treating waste water such as livestock urine, domestic waste water, sewage, etc. with a porous contact material mainly constituted of calcium silicate having a void ratio of 50 to 90%. This process enables effective removal of organic substances, phosphorus, and nitrogen, or only phosphorus with ease.
