Abstract:
A processing machine for worm or lead screw is provided. The processing machine
includes a bed, a workholder and a cutting tool assembly located at the side opposing
to the workholder. A workpiece feeding mechanism for driving the workholder
to rotate and move axially is connected with the workholder. The feeding mechanism
comprises a stationary screw secured to the bed and a moving screw being in engagement
with the stationary screw. One end of the moving screw is connected to the output
of a feed driving source, the other end is connected fixedly with the workholder.
The processing machine has high working accuracy and is easy to operate. The finished
worm or lead screw has good quality, simple structure and low cost.
