Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application disclose a processing method, which achieves the purpose that a network management device determines the direct connection relationship between network devices without relying on a LLDP protocol, and then processing can be carried out according to the direct connection relationship. The method comprises: a network management device obtains a (media access control) MAC entry of a first network device and a MAC entry of a second network device, the MAC entry of the first network device comprising the port number of at least one port of the first network device and a MAC address set corresponding to each port, and the MAC entry of the second network device comprising the port number of at least one port of the second network device and a MAC address set corresponding to each port; the network management device determines a target direct connection port pair according to the MAC entry of the first network device and the MAC entry of the second network device; the network management device determines the direct connection relationship between the first network device and the second network device according to the target direct connection port pair; and the network management device performs processing according to the direct connection relationship.
