Provided are an encoding/decoding processing method and device for an image segmentation manner. The encoding processing method for an image segmentation manner comprises: in an encoding process of a depth modeling mode (DMM1), acquiring the size of an image block to be encoded and a serial number value of a used segmentation manner; acquiring an initial value (Value) corresponding to the size of the image block, and calculating to obtain an absolute value of the difference between the initial value (Value) and the serial number value of the segmentation manner, where Value=k-2a-x, x is the number of bits needing to be saved, k is the number of all the segmentation manners corresponding to the size of the image block, and a is the number of bits required for characterizing all the segmentation manners; and encoding the absolute value using a-x bits to obtain encoding information about the segmentation manner of the image block.
