Abstract:
This product management device manages the number of products displayed on a product shelf. An acquisition unit acquires an ideal count, which is the ideal number of products to be displayed, and a current count, which is the number of products actually being displayed on the product shelf. A detection unit detects the number of times products were retrieved from and placed on the product shelf. An ideal count modification unit modifies the ideal count on the basis of the current count and the number of times products were retrieved and placed.
