Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a product-sum operation device and a product-sum operation method which can perform efficient operations. [Solution] This product-sum operation device is provided with: a plurality of synapses that each include a transistor and in which the resistance values are variable; a plurality of input lines which extend in a first direction and through which input signals are transmitted to the respective synapses; a plurality of output lines which extend in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and through which the product-sum operation result of the input signals from the respective synapses is outputted; and a charging/discharging control unit that controls the output form of the product-sum operation result by controlling the charging/discharging state of the output lines on the basis of the polarity of the transistors.
