Abstract:
In a process for producing detergent particles, an acid precursor of an anionic surfactant and a solid neutralising agent are fed into a horizontal thin-film evaporator/drier where they are neutralised, granulated and dried. The neutralising agent is present in an amount equal to or in excess that required for stoichiometric neutralisation and has a D50 mean particle size of less than 40 mu m.
