Abstract:
Provided is a method for efficiently producing high-purity 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl difluoromethyl ether (desflurane) using a fluorinating agent having excellent handleability. In a liquid phase, 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl dichloromethyl ether is subjected to a two-stage fluorination reaction. Thus, 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl difluoromethyl ether (desflurane) can be efficiently obtained while inhibiting side reactions.
