Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a cyanohydrin-containing liquid that has improved cyanohydrin yield. This production method for a cyanohydrin-containing liquid includes steps 1–4. Step 1: A step for supplying a raw material carbonyl compound and a cyanating agent to a reactor, the raw material carbonyl compound and/or the cyanating agent being supplied continuously. Step 2: A step for reacting the raw material carbonyl compound and the cyanating agent supplied in step 1 in the reactor to obtain a reaction liquid. Step 3: A step for measuring: the molar concentration of the raw material carbonyl compound in the reaction liquid and/or the molar concentration of the cyanating agent in the reaction liquid; and the molar concentration of a cyanohydrin in the reaction liquid. Step 4: A step for using the results of step 3 to control the molar concentration of the raw material carbonyl compound and/or cyanating agent supplied to the reactor in step 1.
