Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain biodegradable polyamide particles having a smooth surface and a high sphericity. [Solution] This production method for fine polyamide particles comprises polymerizing a monomer (A) of polyamide 4 or polyamide 3 in the presence of a polymer (B), wherein the monomer (A) of polyamide 4 or polyamide 3 and the polymer (B) are uniformly dissolved at the start of polymerization, and when fine particles of polyamide 4 or polyamide 3 settle out after the polymerization, the square of the difference in solubility parameter between the monomer (A) and the polymer (B) is in the range of 0-25, and the square of the difference in solubility parameter between the polyamide and the polymer (B) is in the range of 0-20. The fine polyamide particles have a number-average particle size of 0.1-300 μm, a particle size distribution index of 3.0 or less, a sphericity of 90 or more, and a linseed oil absorption of 100 mL/100 g or less.
