Abstract:
A method for producing a glass fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition comprising (A) 20-70 mass% of a polyamide resin and (B) 10-75 mass% of glass fibers, by means of a biaxial extruder, the method being characterized in that: the glass fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition has a shear viscosity at 280 °C and 91/sec of 400-2,000 Pa·s; and when strands are extruded from a horizontal flat die installed on a die holder at the tip of the biaxial extruder, the temperature of the strands from a die hole at the center of the flat die is 310-360 °C, (i) the temperature of the strands from a die hole at the end of the flat die is lower by 4-14 °C than the temperature of the strands from the die hole at the center of the flat die or (ii) the strands are extruded so that the resin pressure within the die during exit from the flat die is 2.0-8.5 MPa.
