Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for efficiently producing the hairy root of the genus Taxus, in which Agrobacterium rhizogenes is caused to penetrate a plant material from the family Taxaceae, genus Taxus and hairy roots are created. The method includes: a soaking step (a) in which at least some of the plant material in the family Taxaceae, genus Taxus is soaked, in a reduced pressure environment, in a solution including Agrobactuerium rhizogenes; a cutting step (b) in which the plant material soaked in the soaking step is cut; and a growing step in which the plant material cut in the cutting step is grown.
