Abstract:
A surfacing material (41) such as a sheet of raised fabric or a foamed cushion sheet is disposed in advance inside a mold (20), and a molten resin (30) is then packed into this mold (20) to mold a molded article having a layer of the surfacing material (41) and a layer of the resin (30) laminated with each other. In this case, a compressive force necessary for fluidization is applied to the mold (20) until the molten resin (30) completely fills the inside of the mold (20), and after the molten resin (30) is fully packed, the compressive force applied to the mold (20) is decreased. The decreasing of compression helps to prevent the nap on a raised fabric sheet from falling and also prevent a thick fabric or cushion sheet from becoming thinner under excessive pressure. Accordingly, excellent moldability can be imparted to the molded article, and even after molding is completed, the properties of the surfacing material (41) can be maintained as such.
