Abstract:
A production method for p–xylene comprising: a dimerization step in which a first raw material containing isobutene is brought in contact with a dimerization catalyst and a C8 component including diisobutylene is created; a cyclization step in which a second raw material including the C8 component is brought in contact with a dehydrogenation catalyst including Pt, in the presence of hydrogen, and a reaction product including p–xylene is obtained; and a retrieval step in which p–xylene is retrieved from the reaction product.
