Abstract:
In order to improve transient of a signal corresponding to the profile portion of a television image and to improve sharpness of the image, according to the present invention, an input f(t+D) and two delayed signals (f(t), f(t-D)) derived from the input f(t+D) are processed to detect the transient portion and to selectively output the three signals. Even when the input signal has a large amplitude, sharpness and fineness of the input image can be improved without saturation.
