Abstract:
Provided is a programmable logic controller that can maintain waterproofness or dustproofness. A base unit (1) includes a substrate (10), a base case (12) where the substrate (10) is housed, and a holding section (14) where a connection unit (2a) that is one of a plurality of module units is held. The connection unit (2a) includes a module-side connector (20), an engaging part (21) that detachably engages with the holding section (14), and a module case (22) having a fitting part that fits with the base case (12). Furthermore, the programmable logic controller includes an elastic member (31) that applies a force in a first direction, which is a direction in which the connection unit (2a) separates from the base unit (1), and presses the engaging part of the connection unit (2a) against the holding section (14) of the base unit (1), and a sealing material (30) that seals a gap between the base case (12) and the fitting part of the module case (22).
