Abstract:
A programmable logic controller (10) includes: a state monitoring unit (12) for monitoring the state of another programmable logic controller (10), which is a counterpart for duplexing; and a system switching control unit (11) for sending to a slave device (103) status information including information that indicates whether a host station is a control system or a standby system, and if the host station is a control system, the system switching control unit receives control data that has been sent from the slave device (103) and addressed to the programmable logic controller (10) that is the control system, and if the host station is a standby system, the system switching control unit switches the host station to a control system if a failure is detected in the other programmable logic controller (10).
