Abstract:
The present technology relates to a projector and method for controlling a projector, with which security of the projector can be improved. The projector comprises a storage part for storing a connection destination list indicating devices to which the projector is enabled to connect, and a communication control part for, when connecting to another device via a network, controlling the connection to the other device on the basis of the connection destination list. As an example, the present technology may be applied to a projector which is connected to another device via a network.
