Abstract:
The present invention relates to a promoter for differentiation into a cartilage cell, a cartilage cell propagation promoter, and a cartilage matrix production promoter that contain a liquiritigenin glycoside. The present invention can provide a promoter for differentiation into a cartilage cell, a cartilage cell propagation promoter, and a cartilage matrix production promoter which have excellent stability and safety, respectively have an excellent promotion effect for differentiation into a cartilage cell, a cartilage cell propagation promotion effect, and a cartilage matrix production promotion effect, and are effective for regeneration of cartilage, as well as prevention or improvement of damage to cartilage such as osteoarthritis, symptoms or diseases caused by inflammation, and symptoms or diseases exhibiting a deficiency of cartilage.
