Abstract:
Propionanilide derivatives of general formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; and drug compositions useful as an ACAT inhibitor or the like and comprising the derivatives or salts and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. In the said formula, the symbols have the following meanings: A: an aryl or 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic group, R?1� and R?2�: each lower alkyl, R?3�: hydrogen or lower alkyl, B: a bond, lower alkylene, lower alkenylene, lower alkynylene, or -S(O)�n?- wherein n is 0, 1 or 2, and R?4�: alkyl, aralkyl, carboxyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl such as pyridyl.
