Abstract:
A proprietor identity confirmation system for determining whether or not the proprietors of two terminals (200A, 200B) are identical. The terminals (200A, 200B) store identity confirmation information which is stored in association with an electronic certificate issued by authentication servers (100A, 100B). The terminal (200A) transmits, to the terminal (200B), information with which proprietor identity confirmation information is encrypted by homomorphic encryption. The terminal (200B) sends back, to the terminal (200A), encrypted reply information including information with which the identity confirmation information for the proprietor of the terminal (200B) is encrypted. The terminal (200A) decrypts the encrypted reply information and determines the proprietor identity depending on whether or not the result matches a prescribed value.
