Abstract:
The present invention relates to a protection block for protecting an exposed waterproof sheet and a construction method for protecting the exposed waterproof sheet by using the protection block, which protect the exposed waterproof sheet, which is on rooftops or road surfaces constructed in an exposed manner, greatly influenced, in particular, by seasonal environments, so as to secure a long lifespan and simultaneously save human and material resources required for maintenance, the method comprising: a waterproof sheet surface cleaning step (S100) for removing, by air and water, various foreign materials attached to the surface of the exposed waterproof sheet (20); a gradient adjusting step (S200) for adjusting a gradient for the waterproof sheet (20), for which the surface cleaning step is finished, by using a finishing material; a protection block mounting step (S300) for successively mounting and fixing the protection blocks (S) from the edge of the waterproof sheet, the protection block comprising a lower block (100) formed in one shape among a circle, a polygon, and an oval by forming, in a predetermined thickness, an insulating material on the surface of the waterproof sheet (20) of which the gradient is adjusted, and an upper block (200) integrally provided with the lower block (100) and formed to be smaller than the edge of the lower block in a predetermined size in an inward direction, and having a waterproof channel (300) formed in an intersecting shape or a straight shape in one direction selected from the lateral surfaces or bottom surface of the lower block (100); and a finishing step (S400) for finishing the construction by cleaning up an area around the constructed protection blocks after the protection blocks are mounted.
