Abstract:
Provided is a protection circuit usable without employing a switching element such as FET.
The circuit has: a protective portion (10) provided with first fusible conductors (15) connected to external circuits (2A, 2B), and a first heating element (12) connected to the first fusible conductors (15), wherein heating of the first heating element (12) causes the first fusible conductors (15) to blow out, cutting off the external circuits (2A, 2B); and a short-circuiting portion (20) provided with a second heating element (22) connected to a detection circuit (3) for detecting whether or not the external circuits (2A, 2B) are cut off, a second fusible conductor caused to melt by the heating of a second heating element (22), and a switch (21) connected to the first heating element (12), wherein the electric supply to the first heating element (12) is regulated by opening the switch (21), and power is supplied to the first heating element (12) by short-circuiting the switch (21) with a molten conductor from the second fusible conductor (22).
