Abstract:
A protection circuit (10) for protecting a rotor-side converter (2) connected to a secondary winding of a double-fed induction generator (6) comprises a diode rectifier (13) for rectifying power flowing therein from the secondary winding, which is connected to the secondary winding, a resistor (15) for consuming the power rectified by the diode rectifier (13), and a switching element (16) for adjusting the power flowing into the resistor (15), which is connected in series with the resistor (15).
