Abstract:
The present invention refers to a protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds. The device comprises a sensitive element (2) affixed to the awning, roller blind or glass of the door or window and suitable for detecting oscillation of the awning or of the roller blind or of the glass of the door or window, and a transmitter (3-5) coupled to the sensitive element (2) and capable of sending a radio signal to a receiver (10) coupled to the motor (11) of the awning or roller blind to command the rolling up of the awning or the winding down of the roller blind in the event of oscillation exceeding a preset limit.

Description:
"Protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds." DESCRIPTION The present invention refers to a protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds.

It is a known fact that the strength of the wind can sometimes cause damage to external awnings that are left down.

Similarly, again in the presence of wind, window fittings and door and window glasses with roller blinds that are pulled up can be damaged.

The object of the present invention is to make a protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds that enables awnings to be rolled up automatically and roller blinds to be wound down should the wind exceed a preset limit.

In accordance with the present invention, this object is reached by means of a protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds, characterized in that it comprises a sensitive element affixed to the awning, roller blind or glass of a door or window, which can detect an oscillation of the awning or the roller blind or the glass of the door or window, and a transmitter coupled to the sensitive element and capable of transmitting a radio signal to a receiver coupled to the motor of the awning or roller blind to control the rolling up of the awning or the winding down of the roller blind should the oscillation exceed a preset limit.

Thanks to the present invention a protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds can be made which prevents the awnings, window fittings and glass from being damaged in the presence of strong wind.

The characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear evident from the following detailed description of an embodiment thereof,

illustrated as non-limiting example in the enclosed drawings, in which : Figure 1 is a schematic view of a protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds according to the invention; Figure 2 is a circuit diagram of the detection and transmission part of the device in Figure 1 ; Figure 3 is a front view of a sun awning with remote controlled winding, fitted with a protection device according to the invention; Figure 4 is a view in perspective of a window with roller blind with remote controlled winding, fitted with a protection device according to the invention.

Figure 1 shows a schematic view of a protection device for doors and windows fitted with remote controlled awnings and/or roller blinds according to the invention. The device is made up of a first part 1 comprising a sensitive element 2 (in substance, a mechanically-activated electric switch), capable of detecting the oscillation of the means it is supported by, and a radio transmitter. The transmitter comprises an electronic device 3 powered by a battery 4, for example a 3V battery (Figure 2), suitable for commutating the oscillation detected by element 2 into an electric signal, possibly compared with an electric reference signal, and transmitting it to an antenna 5.

By effect of the electric signal due to the sensitive element 2, said electronic device 3 sends a command signal at radio frequency by means of antenna 5 to a radio receiver 10 inserted in a motor 11 suitable for activating the awning or roller blind. The command signal (for example at a frequency equaling 433,92Mhz) determines the rolling up of the awning or the winding of the roller blind.

The receiver 10 constitutes the second part of the device according to the invention and is equipped with an antenna 13 suitable for detecting the signal coming from the transmitter 1.

For the activating of an awning the sensitive element 2 is usually placed on the lower edge of the awning (Figure 3).

For the activating of a roller blind the sensitive element 2 can be placed either on the glass of a door or window (Figure 4) or on the roller blind itself.
