Abstract:
A pulley propulsion device of an automatic transmission is provided which has a fixed pulley and a movable pulley configured to be displaceable relative to the fixed pulley along the rotation axis of the pulley. This pulley propulsion device is provided with: a movable member which can rotate about a rotation axis relative to the movable pulley; a fixed member which is restricted in rotation with respect to a pulley case and which linearly displaces the movable member, on the basis of the rotation thereof, along the rotation axis; a drive mechanism which has an electric motor and which transmits the output torque of the electric motor to the movable member to generate a prescribed pulley thrust force in the movable pulley; and a load sensor which detects the load applied to the fixed member.
