Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a pump that minimizes the occurrence of cavitation. A pump according to the present disclosure comprises an impeller and a drive section. The impeller has a plurality of plate-form blades (93) facing each other in the direction of rotation. The drive section causes the impeller to rotate and a liquid to flow. The impeller has flow passages (96). The flow passages (96) are formed between the plurality of blades (93). In the flow passages (96), liquid flows from inlets (961) positioned in an inner edge part (94) of the impeller toward outlets (962) positioned in an outer edge part (95) of the impeller. The flow passages (96) have narrowed parts (963) that have a cross-sectional area smaller than the cross-sectional area of the inlets (961) and the cross-sectional area of the outlets (962).
