Abstract:

A push button-type switch device where a light emitting section (11) irradiating an operation button (1) is positioned near a hinge (3), one side of the button (1) being pivotably supported through the hinge (3), and where a light diffusing prism member (5) for reflecting and diffusing the light emitted from the light emitting section (11) on the operation button (1) is provided. The structure above enables the entire switch device to be downsized, and even and uniform brightness to be obtained over the whole area of the operation button.
