Abstract:
This push-type shifting device is provided with: a sliding-type operating knob adapted to slide in a direction different from the vertical direction and displaceable between a first position and a second position in the sliding direction thereof; a case body having a downward recess which is formed in the upper surface thereof, and also having formed in the recess an opening which is open in the sliding direction and from which a part of the operating knob is exposed; and a contact point for generating an operation signal on the basis of the displacement of the operating knob. The recess has a wall rising upward and defining the opening on the upper side. The wall and the lower surface of the operating knob vertically face each other regardless of the operating knob being located at any position between the first position and the second position, and the gap between the wall and the lower surface of the operating knob is the same when the operating knob is at the first position and when the operating knob is at the second position.
