Abstract:
A PWR reactor fuel assembly capable of constantly forming a cooling-material
lateral flow pressing and fixing control rods, controlling vibration of control
rods and controlling abrasion on the outer surfaces of control rods or on the inner
surfaces of control rod guide tubes. The PWR reactor fuel assembly (1) comprises
an adaptor plate (6) at which an upper nozzle disposed above a fuel assembly forms
the lower structure of the upper nozzle, a side wall provided to extend along the
periphery of the adaptor plate, an overhang protruding toward a space above the
adaptor plate and located at the upper part of the side wall, and a plurality of
control rod guide tube mounting holes and flow path holes provided in the flow
path surface of the adaptor plate, wherein at least flow path holes (15A, 15B,
15C) provided at locations where the overhang bumps against a cooling material,
out of the above flow path holes, are disposed to be in principle line symmetric
with the diagonal Q on the flow path surface as a symmetrical axis, and ligaments
(21, 23) located around flow path holes and on the outer side and the inner side
of a mounting opening (11a) present on the outer peripheral side, out of the above
mounting openings, are structured to be larger than a ligament (22) located on
the opposite sides of the mounting opening and around a flow path hole.
