Abstract:
This R-T-B-based sintered magnet (R represents a rare earth element including Nd, and T represents a transition metal element including Fe) comprises, as a rare earth element, at least dysprosium (Dy). When the value of saturation remnant magnetization of the R-T-B-based sintered magnet is noted as B, and the value of magnetization indicated by an initial magnetization curve when an external magnetic field of 500 kA/m is applied to the R-T-B-based sintered magnet is noted as A, the magnetization ratio A/B is smaller than 1.0 (but greater than 0) and the pole pitch in the R-T-B-based sintered magnet is less than 4 mm (but greater than 0 mm).
