Abstract:
A rare earth-iron-boron series hydrogen storage alloy is expressed by formulae: RE19Fe68 B68, RE17Fe76B7, RE15Fe77B8, RE8Fe86B6, RE8Fe27B24, RE8Fe28B24, RE5Fe18B18, RE5Fe2B6, RE2Fe23B3, RE2FeB3 or RE2Fe14B. RE is at least one rare earth element selected from La, Ce, Pr, Nd and so on; RE can be completely or partially substituted with Mg, Ca, Zr, Ti, V; Fe can be completely or partially substituted with Ni, Mn, Al, Co, Cu, Zr, Ti, V, Zn, Cr, W, Ga, Sn, Pb; B can be completely or partially substituted with Fe, Ni, Mn, Al, Co, Cu, Zr, Ti, V, Zn, Cr, W, Ga, Sn, Pb, Si, S, C, P. The hydrogen storage alloy has above 1.0 wt% hydrogen absorbing weight and 300 mAh/g electrochemical capacity.
