Abstract:
According to the present invention, an intermediate material (18a) is obtained which has, on a radial inside portion of an outer circumferential surface thereof, a recess groove (42) which axially extends and is recessed radially inward. In a state in which, on the outer circumferential surface of the intermediate material (18a), both side portions of a recess groove (42y) are constrained with respect to the circumferential direction and the inner surface of the recess groove (42y) is not constrained, a teeth-forming protrusion-and-recess part (28) having a protrusion-and-recess shape in the axial direction is firmly pressed against a surface which, on the outer circumferential surface of the intermediate material (18a), is on the opposite side of the recess groove (42y) with respect to the radial direction, thereby forming a plurality of rack teeth (10z).
