Abstract:
A radar device (1) which detects an object using radiated waves is provided with an antenna surface provided with an element unit which radiates radiated waves for radar, and a cover member (4) which covers the antenna surface to protect the element unit. The cover member is provided with an inner refractive surface (8), which is the inner side surface of the cover member upon which unwanted waves are incident, and which is formed with a shape that causes unwanted waves incident upon the inner refractive surface to be refracted toward the rear of the antenna. The rear of the antenna is the opposite side to the front of the antenna, which is the side from which radiated waves are radiated, with the antenna surface as a boundary. Unwanted waves are radiated waves that are radiated outside a prescribed solid angle relative to the normal line direction to the antenna surface, from the center of the antenna surface from which the radiated waves are radiated.
