Title:
RADAR VIGILANCE-ALARM SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1992/022828
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A radar vigilance-alarm system wherein operational modes can be set automatically. When a vigilance range is set within a radar coverage and no target exists within the vigilance range, a target intrusion alarm mode is set. On the contrary, when a vigilance range is set and a target exists within the vigilance range, then, a target leaving alarm mode is automatically set. In a target intrusion alarm mode, an alarm is given when a target intrudes into the vigilance range; and, in a target leaving alarm mode, an alarm is given when the target leaves the vigilance range. With the above-described arrangement, a two-stage operation including setting of a vigilance range and setting of an alarm mode can be dispensed with, so that erroneous mode setting can be eliminated and surveillance as intended by an operator can be performed.
