Abstract:
A radiation detector according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a plurality of control lines that extend in a first direction; a plurality of data lines that extend in a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction; detection units that are respectively provided in a plurality of regions which are segmented by the plurality of control lines and the plurality of data lines, that each have a thin film transistor, and that each convert, directly or together with a scintillator, a radial ray into an electric charge; a reading circuit that switches between the on-state and the off-state of the thin film transistor for each of the plurality of control lines; a signal detection circuit that reads the electric charges from the plurality of detection units via the plurality of data lines; and a control circuit that controls the reading circuit and the signal detection circuit for each of a first region in which the accumulated electric charges are discharged and a second region in which the electric charges to be used to constitute a radiographic image are read. The first region and the second region are set for each control line. The control circuit controls the reading circuit and the signal detection circuit so that the following formula is satisfied. Tref = Tscan/n Tref is the time to discharge, in the first region, the accumulated electric charge on one of the control lines. Tscan is the time to read, in the second region, the electric charge to be used to constitute the radiographic image on one of the control lines. n is an integer.
