Abstract:
A coder (101) codes transmission data, and a modulator (102) modulates the output signal from the coder (101). A coder (103) codes a pilot signal, and a modulator (104) subjects the output signal from the coder (103) to primary modulation. A spreading circuit (105) multiplies the output signal from the modulator (104) by a specific spreading code to carry out secondary modulation. A multiplexer (106) multiplexes the output signal from the modulator (102) with the spread pilot signal output from the spreading circuit (105). A radio circuit (107) subjects the multiplex signal to predetermined processing and transmits the signal by time division or frequency division multiplexing through a transmission antenna (108). Radio communications at high data rates are thus allowed in a TDMA or FDMA radio communication system.
