Title:
RADIO RECEIVER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/102139
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a radio receiver (10) in which a microcomputer (16) recognizes the presence of an antenna amplifier once a current detecting unit (14) detects the current from an antenna amplifier power source unit (15), and the microcomputer (16) recognizes the s-meter output level from an RF signal received by the antenna. A control voltage is applied to an impedance switching unit comprising a variable capacitance diode in a manner such that the input impedance of the radio receiver (10) is switched in accordance with the s-meter output level and the detection results of whether or not an antenna amplifier is present. Thus, the reception performance of the radio receiver (10) can be improved by recognizing whether or not an antenna amplifier is present, and by automatically setting the impedance in accordance with the inputted signal level.
