Abstract:
The X-ray imaging apparatus is provided with a first grating that passes radiation emitted from an X-ray source to generate a first periodic pattern image, and a second grating that generates a second periodic pattern image in which moire fringes result from partial masking of the first periodic pattern image. The second periodic pattern image is detected with an X-ray image detector in which multiple pixels are arranged two dimensionally along a row direction and a column direction orthogonal thereto. Of the row direction and the column direction, the image-processing unit selects a prescribed number of pixels that line up in a direction with few linear defects as one group Gr(x,n), and forms groups successively while shifting the group Gr(x,n) in said direction by a prescribed number of pixels. A phase differential image is generated by calculating the magnitude of the phase shift in the intensity modulated signal configured from the pixel values of the second periodic pattern image contained in the each group Gr(x,n).
