Abstract:
[Problem] To restrict travelling wheels from dropping into gaps between rails, to suppress vibrations of articles, and to easily change the orientation of the travelling wheels. [Solution] This rail-guided trolley system SYS is provided with a main body 10 that holds and transports a transport container M along a rail R which includes portions arranged in a grid, while holding the carrier container M below the rail R. This carriage system SYS is provided with: travelling wheels 21 which are disposed at the four corners 10a of the main body 10 and travel on the rail R; a control unit 40 which controls turning drive units 34 to change the orientation of the travelling wheels 21; and auxiliary wheels 22 which are each arranged at the front and/or rear of the travelling wheels 21 in the travel direction.
