Abstract:
The present invention prevents an occupant, a worker, goods or the like from being wetted with rain during boarding or disembarking, or when loading/unloading goods from a vehicle while it is raining. This rain shielding device for a vehicle is formed of a rain protection plate and a frame body, and is attached to the roof of a vehicle. The frame body has a rectangular shape and has recessed grooves, with a slightly rising gradient from the front side, formed in left and right inner sides of the frame body when viewed from a lateral side of the vehicle. The rectangular rain protection plate, both ends of which have a thickness such as can be inserted into the corresponding recessed groove, is attached to the frame body so as to be capable of sliding forward and backward. The rain protection plate has a grip bar attached on the advancing end side thereof, and has spur gear-shaped projections formed in the upper surface along the left and right sides. The recessed grooves in the left and right frame members near the advancing end of the rain protection plate are widened in the vertical direction, and spring-driven pressing members that engage with the spur gear-shaped projections and recesses and press the rain protection plate against the side surface below the recessed grooves to stop the movement of the rain protection plate, are attached inside the recessed grooves. A stopper for preventing the rain protection plate from coming off the frame body is attached.
