Abstract:
A random number generating method and a random number generator. The random number generating method comprises: executing n write operations with respect to at least one analog resistive memory, each write operation among the n write operations comprising the application of at least one write operation pulse to alter an electric conductivity value of the analog resistive memory being operated on; and generating a random number from the n-number of write operation pulses corresponding to the n write operations, n being a positive integer. The random number generating method generates a random number on the basis of the analog characteristics of the analog resistive memory, the random number generated requires no backend correction, high speed and high reliability are achieved at the same time.
