Abstract:
A ranging method and device. The ranging method is applied to a first communication device, and the first communication device comprises a first ultra-wideband system and a first narrowband system. The ranging method comprises: the first ultra-wideband system receives ranging configuration information from the first narrowband system, the ranging configuration information being determined by means of negotiation between the first narrowband system and a second narrowband system of a second communication device (S310); and the first ultra-wideband system generates a first ranging frame according to the ranging configuration information, the first ranging frame being used for measuring a distance between the first communication device and the second communication device (S320). Therefore, the ranging process between the first communication device and the second communication device can be implemented in a more secure manner.
