Abstract:
A ranking device for multi-attribute data provides: a dominance bit list generation unit for generating a dominance bit list in each datum, which indicates in bits whether there is a dominance between a plurality of data having multiple attributes (i.e., dominance is established when all attributes of first data are less than or equal to all attributes of second data, and at least one attribute of the first datum is less than one attribute of the second data); an N-level skyline extraction unit for extracting a multilevel skyline by analyzing a dominance bit list of each datum in order to extract a skyline (i.e., a skyline is a data set that is not dominated by other data) and analyzing data that excludes the extracted skyline in a plurality of data in order to extract an N-level skyline; and a Top-K preference object extraction unit for determining a priority order within the skyline data of the multilevel skyline in accordance with user preferences, then extracting as many skyline data, starting from the top of the priority order, as the number of data results that a user desire, and presenting same.
