Abstract:
Disclosed are a rare earth magnesium alloy having high plastic deformation and a preparation method therefor. The weight percentage content of the magnesium alloy is: rare earth element: 2.7-3.8%, Zn: 0.2-3%, and Mn: 0.5-1.0%, the rest being Mg. The grain size of the magnesium alloy is within the range of 7.5-8.5 μm, and said grains have a free grain orientation. The alloy exhibits weak texture, and the strain coordination effect of the alloy can be efficiently exhibited in a plastic deformation process so as to attain the characteristic of high plastic deformation. A preparation method for the described magnesium alloy employs reasonable heating melting, semi-continuous casting, homogenization treatment, and extrusion processing. During the deformation process, complete dynamic recrystallization occurs to obtain a uniform, fine equiaxed crystal structure, and a rare earth magnesium alloy having high plastic deformation and an elongation of 31%-34% is obtained. The yield of the described magnesium alloy is high, processability and moldability are good, and industrialization is easily achieved. Moreover, the rare earth magnesium alloy having high plastic deformation in the present invention can be widely applied to non-load bearing parts in vehicles such as mountain bikes, automobiles, airplanes, and high-speed railways.
