Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a raw material comprising an organic iridium material for producing a cyclometallized iridium complex, wherein the organic iridium material is tris(β-diketonate)iridium (III) represented by general formula (1) in which β-diketone having a substituent containing a fluorine atom is coordinated to iridium. In general formula (1), at least one of Ra and Rb is a fluorine-substituted hydrocarbon group or a fluorine-substituted heterocyclic group. According to the present invention, a cyclometallized iridium complex can be produced with a higher yield than conventionally.
