Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin to be able to diagnose the presence or absence of diabetes and a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin using the same and, more specifically, to a reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin, the composition comprising a dye-encapsulated silica nanoparticle-boronic acid, and to a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin using the same. The method for measuring glycated hemoglobin according to the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) introducing a blood sample into a reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin, the composition comprising "dye-encapsulated silica nanoparticle-boronic acid" specifically binding to ① a hemolytic liquid and ② glycated hemoglobin, followed by hemolysis and reaction; (b) injecting a reaction product to an absorbing pad of a cartridge, followed by washing with a washing liquid; (c) measuring the optical reflectance of the absorbing pad using an optical instrument to determine the amounts of total hemoglobin and glycated hemoglobin; and (d) calculating the proportion of the glycated hemoglobin on the basis of the measured amounts of total hemoglobin and glycated hemoglobin. In the reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin according to the present invention, the dye has been encapsulated inside silica nanoparticles, and thus the inherent absorption wavelength of the dye is not affected by pH and the composition has excellent stability even when stored for one month or more.
